A Defender Team lead is the primary point of contact serving as the conduit between the Innocent and communities in specific regions of the United States, and leading the local efforts in the war for innocence.

A Defender Team Lead is a trained advocate who has completed The Innocent’s educational program and is responsible for organizing and leading a Defender Team within their local community. They serve as the primary point of contact for their team, coordinating educational efforts, hosting gatherings, and mobilizing community members to raise awareness about child exploitation and human trafficking. Defender Team Leads report directly to a staff member from The Innocent and ensure that their team aligns with the organization’s mission, values, and guidelines.

Defender Team Lead Requirements

  • Complete and pass background check
  • Complete The Innocent’s education program.
  • Passionate about protecting children and supporting the mission in your community.
  • Able to lead a local team and coordinate community efforts.
  • Comfortable educating others and communicating with team members and staff.
  • Committed to reporting regularly and following organizational guidelines.
